The forecast last Saturday called for thunderstorms and rain. However, my 2 hour drive up the mountainous paths were quite pleasant. I was the tourist who was driving less than the posted speed limit while admiring the scenic drive (sorry, locals!). I had the absolute joy of photographing Destiny and Brian’s destination wedding in the notorious 1927 Lake Lure Inn and Spa. Not only is this place simply breath taking, but it is also filled with history. Did you know that ‘Dirty Dancing’ was filmed here?
Destiny and Brian first met each other in Georgia, moved to Arizona, and are headed for Japan right after the wedding. Since Brian serves in the Army, the couple decided to pick a place, any place, on the map for their celebration. Destiny and Brian’s wedding is the very definition of a ‘destination wedding’! With locals coming in from all over the US, we felt so fortunate to be there. Luckily, we finished up our outdoor photos right before the rain started pouring!
Destiny and Brian- thank you so much for the beautiful details! You two are so sweet. We wish you the best of luck in Japan!
