If mother nature were to conspire against a couple on their wedding day, this would be how she’d do it. The ceremony was originally scheduled for sunset on the beach but raging rain and angry hurricane winds altered the plan. Still, nothing could dampen Heather and Jim’s wedding festivities. The news headlines described the torrential rainfall the ‘storm of the century’, but the couple remained unshaken, even after learning that some of their vendors were unable/unwilling to brave the flooded streets.

As former colleagues, I can testify from personal experience that Heather is amazing. Its not just that she totally rocks at her job or that she can beast a full marathon in the time it takes most people to run a half; all I can say is that Jim is one lucky guy! That being said, Jim is awesome as well: he jumped straight to medical school after completing a two year stint with the Peace Corps. These two are a textbook example of a ‘power couple’, and we are so glad we were there to celebrate with them.

Heather & Jim- we love you both! May your journey ahead be filled with clear and beautiful skies!

Virtual hugs to wonderful bloggers for featuring our weddings. We are so thankful for our creative brides!

Carlo and Juliana are dear friends of ours and it was exciting to see their relationship bloom into marriage. Nothing could dampen their spirits on their big day- not even the rainstorm.

Carlo and Juliana first met at a Bible study a couple of years ago. Carlo showed up in a suit (straight from work) and everyone, including Juliana, thought he definitely missed the ‘casual attire’ memo. Juliana, friendly as always, approached Carlo to say ‘hi’ and it was love at first sight for him! From there, their friendship grew as they surrounded themselves with strong mentors, loving friends, and a supportive spiritual family.

Juliana & Carlo- thank you for letting us be a part of your wedding day! We wish you two much happiness in the many years to come!

This Armenian wedding simply took our breath away! Driving up to the house, you would never expect to find such a piece of paradise tucked away in the backyard. Melody’s father opened up his home for such a joyous occasion and we are so happy to be a little part of such a big day!

While hanging out with the ladies before the wedding, Melody recounts memories of growing up in this home. We laughed when she told us that Corey used to sneak in through her window when they were younger so they could be together. It’s so wonderful seeing this relationship come full circle from where so many past memories were kindled!

Melody & Corey- you two are such kind hearted people and we loved being your photographers! We wish you much love and happiness! (p.s.: We’re still dreaming about the food!)
